We are honored to invite you to the Founders' Scholarship Competition!
Your application already demonstrated the skills and dedication needed to thrive at Wyoming Catholic College. The Founders' Scholarship Competition is your chance to prove yourself as a true leader for our educational mission. The competition weekend will allow you to demonstrate your strengths as a thinker, speaker, and writer.
The Founders' Scholarship Competition has three major components:
- Group Seminar Discussion - Competitors will gather in large groups for a Socratic conversation led by one of our professors.
- Small-Group Tutorial - After the large seminar, competitors will split into smaller groups to continue discussion.
- Timed Essay - The following day, competitors will handwrite an essay meant to build upon their previous discussions.
In addition to these competition events, competitors and accompanying family members will enjoy other aspects of the WCC community, including:
- A wilderness adventure with our Outdoor Leadership Program (rock climbing, caving, or hiking).
- A preview of WCC student life through staying with current students in the College dormitories.
- Beautiful liturgies with our Roman and Byzantine Chaplaincies.
- A taste of our scholarly community by auditing real seminars with current students and faculty. And so much more!
Submit the registration form below to secure your spot in the competition. Eligibility depends on being admitted to Wyoming Catholic College. Contact John Walsh (john.walsh@wyomingcatholic.edu) if you have any questions!
A complimentary shuttle runs to and from the Salt Lake City airport, and every competitor earns a one-time $1,000 Campus Visit Credit.
